A call has been put out for more angel investors to come forward in Northern Ireland as new research showed business angels are now the key source of investment in high risk, early stage companies. Research by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts, and British Business
Angels Association suggested that following a decline in more traditional forms of investment brought about by the financial crisis, business angels — wealthy investors in the Dragon’s Den mould —

Multi-million pound expansion for sandwich company

MORE than 40 jobs are to be created in Dundonald with the announcement yesterday of a multi-million expansion planned by the The Brunch Box Sandwich Company.The programme which will virtually double the workforce and is designed to do the same to turnover by 2012, was announced by Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster during a visit to the plant which produces a wide range of ‘food to go’ products.
